Recommended by a friend, which eventually became our ‘Go to’ restaurant in Singapore, is this fine dine but affordable Italian restaurant in Singapore, La Nonna. Situated right in the center of Holland village restaurant lane. Supper buzzing!
By the way, you will see a few pizza places on this blog, me being a Pizza lover.
Though for vegetarians choices are limited to a few starters and a few main courses, but the service is so good that we have patronized this place. If I can’t decide on a restaurant, you know where will I go.
Like any other Italian place, they serve breads with olive oil and balsamic mix, so hold on to your appetizers order for a little while. I have tried the traditional caprese salad with a pesto twist, and my all-time favorite Gnocchi, earlier they used to make it in white cheesy sauce but on my latest visit they made it in red sauce, though I preferred in white sauce. Later it came to my knowledge that I could have requested the sauce of my choice and the Chef would have respected my choice.
You know Holland Village is such a mood lifter, its buzzing with people all the time, its chaotic, I like it. And some of you who would have visited Kuala Lumpur, would know it’s a smaller version of Bukit Bintang. Its so lively, and main road is cordoned off, so its only people with their gadgets but there are no moving gadgets.
Tried Dishes: Gnocchi, veg pizza, caprese salad
Pocket load: SGD 30 – 40 per person
